Yes, it is that time of year, and yes, cold and snow were long overdue. Compared to a lot of the country, we got off easy with around 8″ of super light, fluffy powder snow. The cold on the other hand. . . brrrrrrrrrr. The sun came out today, and that made everything right in the hound world. Despite a high of around 10 degrees, they spent a good portion of the day outside, coming to soak up the sun on the south facing patio to recharge.

Yesterday was a different story. Sammee spent a good portion of the day stealing Gary’s bed and toys.
I hope I only have one or two more calls to make to AT&T to get the final bit of our big phone and internet shuffle finished up. We had VOIP home phone associated with the DSL. Since I am still attached (pardon the pun) to a home phone, along with the other changes I am replacing that with AT&T Phone – Advanced, which is basically a big wireless device that runs on the LTE network and plugs into the home phone wiring to provide VOIP. It was supposed to be a self install, but it was simply not going, so I called to see what was going on. Apparently, since we the service it was replacing was tied to the DSL they needed to send a technician out to do the install, and were able to set up a next day appointment. It took him about 10 minutes to call, get it activated, and disconnect us from the copper infrastructure. I logged on to my account today to make sure everything was as it should be. Despite the fact that everything is working, the new service does not show up as active – it is still in awaiting activation status, so tomorrow I’ll be calling them, again. Their hold music is an earwig I’ll be happy to have fade into a distant memory.
Fun and exciting, right?
